Have you ever sat with a friend and had a real conversation?….not about their job, politics, current events or relationship status. Rather to actually sit down with the intention of knowing them to the core. To understand them, not prescribe to their belief but entertain them. To try only for a moment to feel what it is like to be in their shoes. Not acquire them or feel sorry for them but see them. To think WITH them, not for them. To know their dreams and aspirations and watch them light up as they tell you. To truly know someone we put ourselves aside to listen, and listen with intent. When we listen to our friends we might be surprised at what we see and not only what we hear.
